The England National Youth Futsal Cup 2024.

This weekend our PLYR FC U14 Girls head up to Medway to take part in the England National Youth Futsal Cup 2024 Qualification Event.

A big part of our athletic programme at PLYR is to give our young players experiences and opportunities that deliver on our commitment to long-term development and total football philosophy, so when we were invited to take part we couldn’t say no. The Futsal environment and small-sided game format challenges players technically and physically, as well as giving new perspectives on playing through spaces, with a big focus on individual and team decision-making. Development of young players across all 4 corners of football development is pretty central to our academy ethos, so the experience of this event, which is new to a lot of our girls, ties right in with that.
